Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Overview

QR Code Maker Free is a small browser-based QR tool. This policy describes what stays on your device, what requests are made when the site loads, and what information may be handled by third-party services connected to the site.

2. What stays in your browser

The QR code generator works client-side. When you paste a public URL into the tool, that URL is encoded in your browser with JavaScript and is not submitted to our server for QR generation. We do not store a database of generated URLs, and the current site does not create user accounts.

3. Requests the site does make

Like any normal website, this site still serves static files such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and the editable header-note JSON file. If you use the contact page, clicking the submit button opens your own email app with a prefilled mailto: draft; the message is sent by your email provider, not through a form processor hosted on this site.

4. Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is enabled on the site to understand aggregate traffic patterns such as pageviews, device types, and referral sources. That analytics script is loaded from Google and may set its own cookies or similar identifiers according to Google's policies. We use analytics to understand which guides are being read and whether the tool is loading correctly across devices.

You can opt out via the GA Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking analytics in your browser.

5. Advertising

The site includes Google AdSense account verification metadata, but placeholder ad text has been removed and no manual ad units should render unless real approved ad slots are configured. If advertising is enabled later, Google or another ad provider may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policy.

6. Cookies and local storage

The current site does not require sign-in cookies. Third-party services such as analytics may use their own cookies. The site may also use light browser storage for interface behavior, such as dismissing a notice or remembering a small piece of non-account state in the browser.

7. QR code URLs

URLs you enter to generate QR codes are processed in the browser. They are not intentionally transmitted to the server for storage, logging, or server-side QR creation.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
